As long as you are diligent about keeping track of your AF, that is a
good strategy.
What is your aspirin intolerence? Is it GI upset? You could try
enteric coated aspirin or adding an H2 blocker.
Is plavix available? Same class of meds as ticlid, but very low
incidence (believed to be 4 in 1,000,000) of the most feared
complication of these medicines, a blood disorder called thrombotic
thrombocytopenic purpura (lower than ticlid).
