Not saying the statin evidence isn't biased and distorted, 'cause it is. But
it isn't *missing*.

Even if you accept the evidence at face value (and I don't), you have no certainty about the mechanism. It may well be that panetethine, by reaching similar targets, has those benefits, though not studied for those purposes.


Anyway, I think the role of drugs and supplements is secondary to the right diet and exercise. When I do supplement or take pharmaceuticals, I choose those things that have proven benefits *and* low to no chance of toxicity. That leaves out statins, in my estimation.
