Re: Lipitor did not prevent cardiovascular events or death in patients with type 2 diabetes receiving hemodialysis

Statins cause peripheral neuropathy.
Diabetics have problems with peripheral neuropathy that can lead to
amputation.
Since this study finds Lipitor does not prevent cardiovascular events or
death in diabetic patients, why subject them to the adverse effects of
peripheral neuopathy when they are already at greater risk already?
Where is the outcry? What has happened to medical ethics?
