I am trying to help a friend who was diagnosed with an AAA about 6
months ago while undergoing pre-op tests for gastric bypass surgery.
Her weight loss surgeon, and his cardiologist, told her that her AAA was
too large/long to repair and that she was "a ticking time bomb" and that
she should "get her affairs in order."
Is this true, or do these people not have a clue? These doctors haven't
bothered to refer her to anyone else, and we're not sure what to do next.
I just can't help but think there's got to be an option to at least help
the situation and help try to prevent rupture.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. We're located in the Dallas
area, and she is on Medicare.
Your friend should seek a referral to consult with a vascular surgeon.
Meanwhile, she should ask her doctor(s) to supervise her use of the
2PD-OMER Approach to lose weight safely and permanently.
