My sister has a diagnosis of thickened heart muscle, had a heart seizure
three weeks ago, was revived in hospital and has since had a defibrelator
fitted.
She has also known about a paraprotein disorder for some 18 years and has
been monitored on a regular basis for any change. There 'appears' not have
been any change to date.
Doctors are suggesting that some of the causes of the thickened heart muscle
are as a result of the paraprotein disorder.
I can find no reference anywhere to this and wondered if anyone has any
knowledge, experience or could point me in the direction of medical
help/research that indicates this prognosis.
Here is an abstract of an article to get you headed in the right
direction:

There is a suggestion of chemotherapy for the paraprotein disorder [ and for
which I can find many references ] but it does seem to be suggesting that
[multiple] myeloma is present. There has been no diagnosis of this and I
want to be able to offer some informed advice as to her choices and
questions to ask of doctors. Can anyone help in this respect/
The amyloid cardiomyopathy that your sister likely has is a rare
condition with very few treatment options.
You and your sister will be in my prayers, dear Mark.
Prayerfully in Christ's amazing love,
Andrew
