Medical question for Dr. Chung

I have a neighbor that has mental problems. She also
is about 30 pounds overweight and does not have a proper
diet or an exercise program. I noticed a pizza on the
counter.
She told me that she is now taking 3 different types of
blood pressure medications. I asked her to tell me her
cholesterol levels but she did not know those levels
or have personal copies of her blood tests and urine
tests.
Have you ever prescribed three different blood pressure
medications for one patient?
It is dangerous for a patient to take three separate blood
pressure medications?
I know from past conversations with her that she will not
follow a diet plan or exercise plan since she does not
understand the reasons why diet and exercise are important.
Have you ever had such patients? What do you do to treat
such patients?
Jason
