Re: Do I need an EBCT?

I'm mid 40s and have a history of anxiety, a lot of it expressing as
cardiac symptoms -- fast heart rate, ocassional chest pains (not
associated with exertion), etc. Ten years ago, I had an EBCT with a low
number -- a 7. Two years ago I had a cardiolite: negative. I recently
had a heart ultrasound, a carotid ultrasound and 24-hour holter. i wore
the holter because I was feeling a lot of skipped beats. The holter
showed 12 skipped beats in a 24 hour period, no unusual waves or
anything. i worked out a lot while wearig it. The highest heart rate
recorded was 167 while sprinting and the lowest 47 while sleeping. My
sitting down heart rate is in the 50s; my walking around heart is in
the 80s and 90s. When I stand still my heart rate is higher, like
around a hundred. Lately I've been feeling tightness in my throat on
the underside of my jaw in the fleshy part and strange sensations like
a weird feeling of my heart beating in my throat just above the
clavicle. Doesn't last long. But it's quite discincerting. I'm
wondering whether an EBCT will be a useful test.

Would suggest you seek a referral to consult with a cardiologist about
your new symptoms.
