tambocor and exercise

Does anyone have any evidence that the prolonged use of tambocor to
prevent episodes of AF has any detrimental effect on muscle performance
in exercise?
I've been on tambocor for around 4 years, the dose increasing over time
to 150mg twice a day since March. I run up to 20 miles a week but for
a couple of months now I have been experiencing pain in my legs after a
couple of miles. I'm blaming a toxic build up of the tambocor, rather
than admitting to getting older! My resting pulse rate has fallen from
under 50 bpm to less than 40.
Has anyone had similar experience?
