Atrial Fibrillation - what to do?

I am a 51 year old 345lb. male with AF. My first occurrence was about two years ago. Electrical Cardioversion restored me to a normal rythym.
In April of this year the condition returned. This time the Electrical Cardioversion failed. Now I am stuck on 200mg Toprol, .25mcg Digoxin, Micardis HCT 80/25 and of course Warafin 5mg.
Is there any hope in future attempts at Electrical Cardioversion, or should I just opt for Radio Frequency Ablation?
Has anyone benefited from Electrical Cardioversion after prior attempts have failed?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James
