Nobody ever claimed it was a cuss-word ("curse word" is more formal
English), nor that it was derogatory. That is not why the Romans and
the Jews used it--they used it as evidence in his trial for challenging
the political system in Palestine. The allegation was that he
proclaimed that *he* was the King of the Jews, not Herod whom the Romans
had installed as [sub] king in Palestine. Such a claim would have been
an act of treason and seems to be the formal reason for his execution..
You really do need to spend some time learning these things, Doc.
