Re: tUMMY tUCK and daily 2lb-omer

"Could having a tummy tuck rid one of VAT? I'm on the 1kg-omer, which
is the 2lb-omer, so I use about 800g a day. It's working great and
I've lost 8 lbs so far, and I've lost lots from my waistline and can
now wear a belt, giving myself an hour-glass figure ;-)"

Yes, there have been experimental surgeries to remove some of the
internal belly fat that produces the hormones in question with positive
results.

No, it is not the 2 pound diet but the limited calories you
consume that have caused weight loss. By accident 2 pounds of what you
have chosen to eat is less then what you require each day. 2 pounds of
other foods would cause you to gain weight quickly. The 2 pound diet has
been shown to have no validity in science and can be dagerous for some
people.

We need at least 10 calories for each pound of weight we have. Eating
600 calories will cause weight loss but be a failure for maintaining
long term weight status, indeed 60 pounds only plus some additional for
the level of your physical activity. So figure the weight you want and
when you get there eat 10 calories for each pound and a little more for
physical activity. 180 pounds needs at least 1800 calories to be
maintained.

As for a "tummy tuck" that wouldb be for you a cosmetic decision alone.
