Heart scans

Can anyone here point me to a site or group or whatever, that is up to
date on scanning technology, what it can do, what it can't do, and
where it's headed in the near future? Seems everywhere I look, I'm
getting conflicting opinions from experts.

Mainly, I'm interested in finding a way to track my progress, or lack
thereof, (of reversing plaque buildup) by some reliable method other
than heart cath.

type scan because it will heat up my stents. Does that sound right?
