Re: Echo results and a strange question... need some opinions...

This would address the question of whether you have had a pulmonary
embolus.

So, you agree this is the best test right now?

No.

Or should I be going with a CAT or MRI scan?

These would not be the best tests either.

But of course.. they're
gonna put up a big fight about that...

Would suggest that you have your doctor(s) consult with a radiologist
about what in his/her opiinion would be the best test given your
history.

Can be baseline for some folks and higher than baseline for others. It
is well within the normal range for most people.

i wasnt sure because ive been told different things about it.

i was talking to my dad after this, and he said he was diagnosed with
this, too. he has extra and skipped beats... and also has an issue
where he literally feels them every hour. hes been checked and no one
seemed concerned.

he also has a thing where he seems to not be able to take enough deep
breaths. he said he started feeling that way when he was about my age..
25-27.
same as me. been like that for a while. im always taking deep breaths.
i sometimes feel like my lungs are being squashed inside... when im
sitting down or whatever.

Could be asthma.

what exactly are these VE's?

Ventricular Ectopics are also known as Premature Ventricular
Contractions (PVCs). It is not usual to use both VEs and PVCs or to
make a distinction between them. Couplets are a pair of VEs.

what do you mean.. not usual?

Simply that they are synonymous.

so, out of all of this from the holter.. im in no danger?

No red flags in that which you have posted about your holter report.

A PAC is a Premature Atrial Contraction.

thats another thing that baffles me. the EKG shows a right atrial
'strain'.. (which also could mean a PE..), but the echo shows its of
normal size, and normal in general.

Your echo was a technically difficult study.

just seems like.. a lot of things that should be addressed. sadly,
though... its not like it can all be looked into all too soon. takes
weeks/months sometimes just to get a cardio appointment around here,
and all the other stuff...

just so many things. and i know i come across like a hypochondriac, or
someone just thnking of everything and anything, but.. i know how i
feel, i know my body and have seen how doctors have fucked over my
family, and even me in the past. if it wastn for us raising hell with a
bunch of docs, my mom would have died from a serious heart problem a
while back. turned out our suspicions were right all along and they had
refused to check for other stuff, previously. sad...

Sad to read about the difficulties of you and your family.

Prayerfully in Christ's amazing love,
