"Wise to raise HDL by losing the visceral adipose tissue (VAT):"
Better still to exercise for both hdl and vat. Exercise has been shown
in several studies to selectively reduce vat first. This was the case
when comparing calorie reduction diets and exercise, the latter had the
most effect when they were done alone and best results when in
combination.
Exercise makes metabolic changes at the cell level to reverse vat and
mets.
The trash science two pound diet can do neither, unless by accident of
food choices two pounds happens to be less then the metabolic and
physical activity calorie demands for ones height.
One can in fact increase vat by eating two pounds of the wrong foods
depending on the above factors.
God bless.
