For the first time, I think, I actually agree with you. Though, I think the
epidemiological studies had already managed the unusual feat of being pretty
conclusive re vit D and cancer.

I also wouldn't put such a heavy blame on the medical profession for missing
the connection for so long and depriving us of sunshine. It wasn't the MDs
who told us to wear clothing, who developed office buildings to work in, who
manufactured cars that took us from place to place outdoors without

Jim while we agree that the epidemiological studies where
persuasive on this; we must disagree on the role of the medical
profession. That the sun causes cancer has become an article of faith
in the medical community ; at this time of year the sun awareness ads
hit the airways often with MDs as spokesman . The fact that low
levels of d promote cancer along with the stress Doctors have put upon
avoiding the sun to avoid skin cancer has led to the low levels of
D often seen today. So that the advice of the medical profession
"cover up and always use sunscreen ' most be a part of the cause and
probable a large part . Thanks
