The spirit of something devious certainly is using him. Andrew, I
have traced his posts and they are coming from Carnegie Mellon
University. I have contacted them by email and will be talking with
them tomorrow by
phone. This guy is evidently in violation of the acceptable use
policy due to his spamming the news group in responses to you. His
devious practices have earned him a complaint tonight.

Defending Chung and calling someone *else* a spammer? ROFLMAO!

Pot. Kettle. Black. He must be winning the argument if you're
resorting to such tactics.

Reasonable people might not see a win or lose to the argument,
but an uncalled for disclosure of personal medical info to
anonymous persons. Whether you like Andrew, God or me is not
the issue here. Your beliefs are your choice to make, you've made
that choice and I respect your right to retain that, please respect
out right to believe as you would have us do to you.

Beliefs have no place in a sci.med newsgroup. Usenet is structured to
allow for people to use the appropriate newsgroups, and since what Andrew
does is religious spamming, he is ignoring this fact. Hence the hostility
toward him. Maybe, as his friend, you could try and get him to see this,
rather than riding shotgun for him whilst he destroys a newsgroup in the
sci. heirarchy.

And before anybody bleats about this newsgroup being "unmoderated", that
does not give anybody a licence to try and control it by endlessly
spamming it, convicting people, demonising people, misrepresenting
themselves, Emory University, the truth, the English language, logic,
their own scriptures or scientific facts.

Unmoderated newsgroups function on trust, and an appeal to good conduct
based on mutual respect. There are those who do not understand the basic
principles of respect, and Chung is one of them. Vilification is the
inevitable consequence of their activities, and nobody should be so
stupid as to try and defend them. To do so is to tar yourself with the
same brush.
