Our atlanta friend opined:
"In practice, calories is a meaningless unit of measure for those of us
without bomb calorimeters (ie nearly all of us)."
But more important the source from which the calorie content on labels
is taken do have them. For bulk items such as flour etc. the web has
many sources by which to quickly to know same.
"For this reason, calories are neither good nor bad."
For that reason calorie information can be very important in an overal
nutrition plan.
