There's a problem in the paragraph above; the final letter of each
surname should be spaced away from the real name; the "a" and "b" notes
refer to the institutions those individuals are attached to, as listed
later in the text (but, again, not separated from the institution
names). The surnames are Okamoto, Momose, Fujino, and Osawa.
I couldn't locate this article in Google, though I did find references
to Okamoto and Osawa on this topic.
