Interesting discussion of studies of diet and/or exercise as a
treatment for overweight and obesity. Bottom line: no such program
has been shown to work in the long-term except in a tiny percentage of
people.

The key is a change of lifestyle so that your weight levels off for
your food intake and activity level - need a combination of lower
calorie foods and smaller portions with an increase of activity as
much as possibe and this needs to be sustainable over the long term.
Diets by themselves do not work, because when stop dieting, most go
back to their old way of eating and gain the weight back.
