Sounds like you were self-motivated.
Marilyn
Diets, no matter how they are based, need to be self-motivated so that
the desire to lose weight and keep it off is greater than the desire
to return to the old eat habits and lifestyle. That is the reason
most diets are not successful in the longterm is that it can take a
long time for the new lifestyle to become your old lifestyle.
Oh yeah. Can take at least 1 to 1 1/2 years to establish. And it's not
all that easy for the first few months. But it does get easier and
easier, until it becomes firmly implanted. For dinner I just finished
a small amount of whole wheat pasta and a crown of broccoli, without
even thinking about it. That's all I've had to eat since noon (salad,
an apple and a small piece of salmon for lunch) and I won't feel like
eating again until I wake up tomorrow. No hunger. No repressed urges
This is the way I eat now. I put as little thought into it as I did in
grabbing a burger.
