Enhance Trial Controversy

There are a lot of doctors and patients who are questioning the New
Enhance Trial because it included people with Heterozygous Familial
Hypercholesterolemia rather than people who represent the actual
population of statin users. However, what people often miss in reading
studies is that a population is chosen because it contains elements
that are characteristic of a larger population--or universal set. The
Enhance Trial did show a significant decrease in LDL. Some doctors and
researchers still question the role of LDL in cardiac conditions;
however, it is a factor that is significantly present ....
