The same reason He provided a global flood in the past.

That little thing in the Near East where the Mediterranean overran the
Black Sea and wiped out some shoreline villages?

No.

Your PhD doctor John Baumgardner is/was a trained scientist, with a
specialty in electrical engineering.

Actually his PhD training has been in Geophysics and Space Physics.

You're right, but that adds nothing to his knowledge of near eastern
history or cultures. His work is an attempt to show the *possibility*
of such a flood, not evidence for the occurrence of one.

He apparently has had no
training in the biblical languages or cultures, nor in the history of
the near east.

The global flood predates human language, cultures, written history.

You, like Baumgartner, are starting from the assumption that there was
a Global Flood, for which there is no evidence. IOW, neither of you
are acting as scientists in discussing this topic. One would assume
that an immersion of the entire earth would leave some physical
evidence. Where is it?

Upon becoming a Christian and renouncing evolution, he
set out to explain the mechanism of the Global Flood.

His recognizing that Darwin's theory of evolution (TOE) has always
been stillborn makes Dr. Baumgardner credible as a scientist.

There is no way that adding one more unproven assumption turns a
non-scientific endeavor into real science. Both assumptions are a
priori without supporting evidence.

Oddly, even as we sit here discussing the issues, that "stillborn"
theory of Darwin's continues to be at work explaining phenomena from
the development of the universe to the evolution of modern man's
genetic diversity--and many of the recent developments had been
predicted on the basis of the theory.

There is much geological/paleontological evidence supporting Darwin's
theory and none supporting the Global Flood theory.

True scientists work to reject theories like TOE that fail at
predicting while formulating new hypotheses to explain the world
around them.

True scientists start from the evidence, not from the conclusions they
want to support. It's been pointed out to you several times that the
scientific method is much more than rejecting null hypotheses, which
you undoubtedly learned in graduate school and still chose to ignore
it.
