I had fixed braces for 12 months when I was about 14 and have since been
wearing retainers.
My orthodontist of the time said in the US it is common for people to go on
wearing them indefinitely as it costs you guys a fortune in the first place
to have teeth straightened. I have been wearing my top retainer ever since -
I'm now aged 21. As much as the cosmetic effect I kind of need it to get to
sleep anyway!! However my bottom retainer had an incident with a
foot............and expired.
I am interesting in having another one made if possible as I have noticed on
of my bottom teeth is starting to very subtly glide behind another. Is it
possible to have one made so long after the original treatment and will it
help stop this slide if worn regularly.
My teeth are very important to me! My top retainer is also noticeably
tighter if I haven't worn if for a few nights and then pop it in, should
this still be the case?!
Thanks for any help you can offer!
Thanks
PS Dentist gloves taste great!
