Lucitone 199 denture material will solve most problems. I cannot
understand why anyone would use anything else!
As for teeth breaking, here is the ticket. The broken tooth must be
repositioned in the breakout socket and a small round bur and/or
inverted cone bur (drill) is used to create a diatoric box. OK you
ask, what is that?
Its an undercut box that anchors into the tooth and anchors into the
plastic of the denture. The old porcelain teeth used to come with them
already there. They mechanically held the tooth in place as acrylic or
(shudder) Vulcanite would not chemically bond to porcelain.
Acrylic bonds to acrylic teeth ... well kinda. Try the diatoric box if
you are the repair guy and see if it helps.
(This information may prove to be unpopular ~ dentists prefer to make
a new set ~ claiming the bite is off!)
