I got them extracted because I found a cavity in one of the wisdom
teeth. You are probably right that it wasn't crucial that they come
out, but I had a couple dentists in the past tell me that they should
come out, including the dentist that I went to for the cavity that
day. At this point I figured if those teeth were going to be causing
trouble (like getting cavities even though I brush them) to go ahead
and take them out.

I looked up neuralgia and it seems that pain from that is a lot more
intense than what I experience. I have a feeling that whatever I have
will just subside over time and eventually go away, especially since
its not gotten worse. I just can't believe I'm the only one who's
ever had this happen.
