Thanks for the replies- I spoke a TMD 'specialist's' secretary and she
told that wearing a splint only at night is bad for the joint as the
joint having to get used to being in one position but is then suddenly
pushed into another position during the day when you're not wearing
it. This makes the joint worse and may cause bleeding or something!
Apparently a splint should be worn all the time. Does NTI have the
same issue ?

Regarding the NTI- I went to the headache.com website and found a
dentist who fits NTI's when I e-mailed him he said my condition
sounded serious and that I should see the TMD specialist who's
secretary I had been speaking to first! I think what I'll do, is see
him when I go home and see what he thinks about getting an NTI made!

By the way how long does it take to make an NTI and do you have to be
in the area for a long time while it's adjusted or something. I'm
asking as I'm tarveling and will be going home for a few weeks to get
this made!
