But babies don't *really see* anything clearly, especially not faces for
many months ... at about eight months of age, they become afraid of
everyone ... why? It is the first time they've ever *really seen* a new
and unfamiliar face clearly. In the past everyone was a blur and babies
feared not the face of a stranger. Suddenly at about eight months of
age, everyone is a stranger for a little while and then JME's point
picks up and takes over.
