It makes perfect sense to follow the advice of professionals instead
of determining for yourself. Specialization is what allows the great
advances in the sciences like we have seen. I would not expect anybody
except an experience computer programmer to argue things like
structured vs unstructured programming, or the usefulness of object
oriented programming techniques. These sorts of debates are best left
to professionals, and the unwashed masses should take their advice.

I don't have a strong opinion on if she should give fluoride in the
future or not. What I see is a mother beating herself up about
something she cannot change. She needs to step back and realize there
are far more important things to worry about than monitoring the dose
of fluoride her child gets.

Stay out of discussions were your words might be confused as opinions?
That doesn't make any sense to me. What's wrong with being vocal about
your opinions, even if they are stupid and contradicted by facts? In
the end, you are only your influence on other people. I'd try to
influence others as much as possible.
