After reading hundreds of points the following point needs
to be made. Typically an amalgam argument will go like this:
Hg is safe for most people!
Hg is not safe for some people!
Some people really get affected!
Most are affected but it isn't easy to measure!
No one I know seems to be affected at all!
My point is this: Hg exposure is a variable which is
not constant from person to person. Those with the lowest half of
exposure are in a different category than those with top 1%
or .1% Therefore it would make a lot of sense to preface all
statements with a phrase such as "Those with average levels of
exposure" or "Those with the very highest levels of exposure"
That way everybody is talking about the same thing and the risks
can more clearly be defined. JMO
