My PDR is old (I'm afraid), but doesn't specifically list xerostomia as
an adverse reaction. However, other autonomic symptoms such as
insomnia, palpitations, diaphoresis are listed, so I assume this is a
known reaction. Anything that causes xerostomia has the potential for
exacerbating caries activity.
I'd ask your physician (esp. if there are other symptoms as well) if
the dosage needs to be adjusted. Meanwhile, use something like Biotene
rinse, and consider fluoride gels as well. Fluoride varnish may be
useful both to aid sensitivity and possibly aid remineralization.
