| My PDR is old (I'm afraid), but doesn't specifically list xerostomia as
| an adverse reaction. However, other autonomic symptoms such as
| insomnia, palpitations, diaphoresis are listed, so I assume this is a
| known reaction. Anything that causes xerostomia has the potential for
| exacerbating caries activity.
| I'd ask your physician (esp. if there are other symptoms as well) if
| the dosage needs to be adjusted. Meanwhile, use something like Biotene
| rinse, and consider fluoride gels as well. Fluoride varnish may be
| useful both to aid sensitivity and possibly aid remineralization.
