Last wednesday, the dentist filled a "hole" in my tooth - upper
molar...He said that the hole may not have been caused by decay, but by
root resorption...In any case he said the tooth & gum (the hole was
under the gum) would be sensitive for up to 2 weeks, particularly to
cold.
He said that if the tooth continued to ache (throb) after 2 weeks, it
might need a root canal.
Is it normal for the tooth area to ache up to 2 weeks after the
filling? It aches all the time (now day 6) and eating and drinking
(even tepid water) realy sets it off..I can take only tylenol, because
of stomach ulcers and 2 tylenol every 4 hours really does nothing for
the pain.
Thanks
Ken
