A possible suggestion:

1) Get an NTI device, then if pain persists:
2) Have the Root canal retreated through the crown, then if pain persists:
3) get worked up for replacement of the tooth with an implant.

Or,,,,,, skip step (2)

Not having examined you in person, the above is just a guess.
