M & F littermates around 7-8 yrs old. Half Schnauzer/ half Pomeranian (sp?
on both) and 100% stupid. They only bark to be let in, heaven forbid they
bark to go outside and do their duty. It's much easier for us humans to
clean the floor than open the door. For the 10,000th time, today I dropped
(read, held it over their head - let them see it - and then let go of it) a
couple doggie treats ( I still love them). And as usual one caught it and
of course ( they alternate on this) the other let it hit smack dead on the
bridge of his/her nose, and then look surprised. They would take one look
at WB's 6.5 pounder and never be seen again ( maybe he'll E-mail them a
picture - that might work). And, I was the one that insisted we get them,
female first and then with only a warning phone call brought home the male.
I thought mixed breeds were supposed to be smarter. Now that I think about
it, I do still miss my Scottie I had when I was 10.
Funnier than hell, about a year or so ago UMKC sent the usual "class notes
to update us for the next newsletter" form I filled it out and wrote
something like "two 8 yr old, arthritic, vision impaired, incontinent
littermate dogs available for adoption". They printed it without comment.
The thing is usually filled with recent grads getting married having kids
etc, those 10+ yr out mostly pat themselves on the back with a bunch of
awards ect. Guess you had to be there.
Next time I'm going to advise that I have 3 used snowtires with 1/64th inch
tread left - bet they print it.
