Unlike many dentists, (Steve being an exception I know of) I have used a
shovel professionally. Over the years, I have broken enough to know where they
break. In fact, I believe I have the remains of one in my backyard right now if
someone would like to study a case in point. They always break at, (or an inch
or two inside) the ferrule.
What that has to do with teeth, I will leave to you nice folks to debate.
