A Scan-X system that'll retrofit your pano and all other x-rays (0's,
1's 2's & 3's) will run you about 18k to 20k with software. That's a
lot more than a processor but there are other considerations.

The average practice takes 75 x-rays per day; the practice is usually
open four days per week and is open 48 weeks per year. This is equal to
14,400 x-rays per year or 57,600 x-rays within four years.

Add the costs of the processor, chemicals, film, labor, etc and going
digital might be an option.
