Don't think it's a violin technic. Hard to describe, you push the sting out of its normal alignment with the left hand while fretted. --

OK, maybe you can help me here. Classical guitarists create vibrato pretty much the way string players do--moving the finger in the long axis of the fingered string.
I've never been able to make a vibrato the way (for example) B.B. King does. It's actually a slight bending and unbending. It looks like he's making an eccentric arc between his fretting finger and thumb behind the neck, and rotating the string back and forth along the fret. How do you do that?
