Well, I just talked to his secretary, to see about meeting him to raise
that possibility, and it seems that this _is_ gonna be possible.
They're already talking 'bout it down in the head office.

Jeez... am I glad I got that new(er) chair into the hygiene room when I
did: the Head Mad Dog of the new group came by to see my little shop
last week, and he would have been horrified to see the old one.

Things _may_ be looking up a bit more than I previously thought.

Now... if I could only get some time to see about that ROOTER and get
it set up: the pointy heads at Sympatico tell me that the distance
between the DSL modem and the telephone socket shall not be more than
SEVEN FEET, if I want a decent signal. That means I'm gonna have to
staple the modem to the wife's piano or to the wall somewheres closer
to the socket. And, of course, I've gotta get it up and working. Gotta
get it done, though, as posting thru GOOOOGLE groupes on the wife's
Windoze box is the pits.
