USA public perception "dental insurance"

http://www.deltadentalins.com/aarp/plan_info/faq.html

People are led to think that "dental insurance" is an important feature
of their healthcare "insurance". But there is great dispute about the
terminology (dental insurance) and it's wisdom.

I've provided a link to a very well known organization (AARP) of which
many of us may be "members" to illustrate one example of how people get
the idea of "dental insurance" being a good thing.
