At the moment, im not too bothered about my apperance, but I am quite bothered about my speech. To direct family, I can talk "normally" and im understood. With my friends, I am usually understood, but with some difficultys. When you talk to new people, I am noticing I have to try and slow down my speech etc to be fully understood. On top of that, I apparently drop a lot of t's etc and dont round off my words properly.

It's never too late. Ask your GP to refer you to a specialist for
evaluaton.
This is a link to an American site so the details won't be relevant
but the gist of it is still the same.

A hearing test might also be in order.
Good luck
