I agree this is a legal problem, if your ex- signed for the treatment and
had the authority, what can be the most you can hope for.
What is not clear is what would you like from the lawyer. Any tye of
compensation?
Agreement in writing as to future treatment for any condition except
emergency.
I would try to be ready with what I expect from legal advantages and the
consequences if not followed.
I would also try to be agreeable with your daughter and ex if the treatment
is completed and satisfactory. The state of the mouth should be primary
as it is already done. Of course, the girlfriend was probably following
orders or being accomodating in taking your daughter to the dentist, but had
she thought further, would that type of situation suit her if it were her
daughter and ex.
