I have only been on pred this past few months and once a couple years ago,
'03 because I refused to cancel my 7 day cruise. So there was no reason to
be warne about this since I didn't tell about the dental problems. My bad!

As for the insurance, read my response to Joel as I explain. I will get the
dental work done but would love to knock the price down do to my major
medical bills and RX's. I have crohn's and take a lot of RX's and some
supplements. I have had three surgeries since '01 the last one in '05. So
the bills add up. My hubby has problems too, he is almost 60. I will be 50
April 11th. Boy I can hear the jokes now. :-) UM MOM Susan

Maybe the attending physician can help. Does the physician provide any
input regarding oral health care and potential complications associated
with prednisone?

Just a thought.

PS I think Joel is saying that there is no very good insurance
available for major dental restorative work, unless you get insurance
paid through your employer. Most of the individaul plans will cover
the lesser expensive procedures, but when it comes to major, you pay at
least 50%. A patient then must weigh the cost benefits. Depending
upon how much the ins plan costs, there may not be any.

Many dentists offer pay plans (Care Credit, etc.).

Try 'www.dentistry.com' (http://www.dentistry.com/) if you cannot find
answers here. Good luck!
