Teeth that are heavily restored can go necrotic, but the process may
take years, which is probably why you need the root canals in this
stage of your life. It is sadly a case of the sins of your youth
returning to haunt you. :) I know because I am also a victim of large
restorations giing up on me and I'm much younger than you are.
The sonicare has nothing to do with it.
