About nine months ago I had a sinus lift and bone graft done by an oral
surgeon. I had to have
this done in order to have implants on my top left side. I am supposed
to have the implants
put in sometimes this summer. After the sinus lift and bone graft I
had several follow-up
checkups and xrays. The bone graft was a success and I then had plenty
of bone for the
implants.
Well I thought everything was going along great until last week. I
started having a really
bad nasal discharge. The discharge was a yellow green color and there
were small gray
granules in it. This has been going on now for over a week. I called
my oral surgeon's
office to get an appointment to find out what was going on but he is
out of the office
for the next 10 days.
Does anyone have any imput into my situation and what are the gray
granules?
Thanks.
Obviously you're thinking the graft has come through the sinus membrane, but while this seems obvious there's no way to tell. I would save some of these granules for him to see, though.
