mouthgaurd and translucent teeth

recently i noticed the ends (say 1/3) of my teach are looking
translucent instead of an opac off white. i'm a 36 man. i was thinking
about things i have changed in the last few months that might have
caused this.
i have changed my diet. eating more roughage, more fruits and veggies.
eating less refined sugars and carbs.
also, per my dentists instructions, wearing a hard mouth guard he made
for me.
i'm drinking green tea, but i have been drinking that for years now.
very recently, the last month, i have been averaging about one coke a
day (mixed with jack daniels). i am a social drinker but hardly ever
drink sodas.
anyone with knowledge on this topic have an idea?
much thanks.
