Fractured porcelain crown

I had two porcelain crowns on my two front upper teeth a couple of months ago.
I went to my dentist this morning for a routine cleaning and he told me there
was a fracture in one of my crowns. He wants to remove it, put on another
temp. crown, and then replace it with a brand new crown. I am extremely
upset by this!!! The thought of going through this process again makes me
nauseated. I did not do well with the process the first time and I cry when
I think of doing it again.
My question is there any way this crown can be repaired? filled? bonded?
Anything to prevent me from having to go through this again! Thanks for any
help and/or advice.
