Re: Implants: Funny Sensations

I will try to keep this short. I have only 13 of my own teeth, due to
hypodontia I think! I have had a partial dentures (top and bottom)
since I was 21. I am now 28. Last year, I had a bone graft (my own
bone, from my hip) and this August just gone, have had 7 implants
placed in various places in my jaw. Its now November, 3months since
they were placed, and I have started to experience sensations. Two
different sorts. The first is like a vibration in my front tooth (which
is has a veneer, and is close to where an implant is), it started when
I sneezed once, and now its there and getting more prominent, like when
I breath/blow my nose! It is not painful, but it is there. The other
sensation is just an ache in my jaw, where the implants are. I am not
seeing my consultant for another month, and I am concerned that this
sensation could be early signs of failure, and should I contact them,
or wait till December??

Thanks for any advice.
Nic

There is absolutely no way to know. In this case, I would always contact the surgeon and have the surgeon check in person--sooner is better.
