Get it checked ASAP. You need to go on antibiotics.
If the infection is superficial sometimes the gums could be reflected
and the implant regrafted. If not the implant may need to be removed,
the site regrafted and a new one placed.
Often if this happens the implant manufacturer will provide a new
implant. I do not charge for the second implant surgery if an implant
starts to fail except for bone grafting, nitrous oxide if it was used.
This infection can destroy bone very quickly even 3 days makes a huge
difference as I have found.

Hi, I am really concerned. I have had 7 implants placed in what was
very thin bone structure, ( I had a bone graft prior to implant surgery
to build up what i had)
I am experiencing what can be described as an infection in one implant.
This particular one was exposed - i.e I could see metal. After the
surgery they were a little worried about it, but they left it.
Yesterday i started experincing tenderness and if I apply pressure
around the gum, white pus comes out of the top. Its 3 days before
Christmas, I am probably not going to be able to talk to my consultant,
any suggestions.?
