I would think you can eat and drink anything by now. Steven Bornfield would
you please chime in here? Afterwards though I would rinse with warm water
and salt like you are doing. I never stopped my coffee or at that time I
was drinking sodas and all kinds of things. I ate normal the following day
for one extraction. Unfortunately for me I had to have a whole bunch
removed the same day and an upper denture and a bridge put in after the
teeth was removed. That took quite a few days to be able to get more than
liquids in. UM MOM Susan

Is it ok to drink what you want now? I try and drink through the other
side -dont want cold touching the piece of bone. I dont drink alcohol
ever.
Gone from about 10 cups of coffee a day, to 0 most days. Drinking milk
alot. Eaten only one thing today - sausage roll, but I dont think any
of it touched the hole. Wasnt worth eating actually, I just swallowed
most of it.

I have a bad taste occasionally, and the hole is still big, and there
is bone, but no pain at all. I am taking amoxycillen and
ibrufon/paracetemol.
Its Day 9. Should I be safe now? I do the salt-water alot, keep it
clean. I'm told 3-4 days, 10-14 days, dentist says I could still get
one. Dont know what to believe!
I must've lost ALOT of weight in the last week or 2! Definetly made up
for xmas day!

Sorry tooth extraction takes time esp. a big hole. Then even long for
the
hole to 'fill in'. If you are out of pain now just take care of it,
keep it
clean. If you still have stuff coming out, blood clots don't suck on
things
like a straw. Sometime bone fragments will come out, this I am told is
normal. UM MOM Susan

Seen my new dentist before, 2 appointments for fillings from end of
January.
She looked at the hole from the tooth I had out, and said its healing
well. She said I could still get Dry-Socket though, even though its
day
9.

OK, sorry! My mum and dad both have them, and they never complain of
toothache.
Anyway, since the clover oil stuff came out yesterday, 24hrs ago,
I've
had no pain whatsoever.
Its difficult to eat/drink because I can feel the hole, everytime I
try
and swallow. Like its sucking my cheek if you know what I mean. But
not
painful!
I got Amoxycillen, 250mg of my GP last night. And its now 8 days
since
I got the tooth out - the hole is still massive, but its starting to
go
soft.
Does this mean its healing and I never had or going to get Dry
Socket?
Maybe the dentist just gave the clover oil tobacco just to shut me
up,
I hope thats the case.
I looked at storys online, and some people say you arent safe from
Dry-Socket until 10-14 days after.
Stephen
PS. Examination with a new dentist tomorrow! No more
emergency-dentists
who cant wait to get rid of me.

I'm going to just rinse it out everytime I eat/drink, which is
not
much. And try not to worry about it so much.
False teeth = must be amazing to never get toothache.... Eat,
drink,
whatever you want.....
That's what YOU think. Talk to some denture wearers, ask if they
can
eat anything.
