Don't get them printed to paper. Have them transferred to CD-ROM as jpg or
tiff files.

Hey guys.
My dentist wants to have me do a set of complete mouth x-rays.
He does not use a digital X-ray system.
It isn't 50 years old either - but I'm just wondering if it is worth the
exposure?
Should I consider having him send me to someone who has a digital system?
It's one thing to have X-rays done once a year, four total... It's
another
to have enough to cover each tooth in detail.
Very interested in your opinions.
Thanks :)
In my area, only about 25% of offices have digital x-rays. That number is
increasing everyday. It will take time for all to convert, and I bet not
everyone will. If you do go to another dentist for the images, make sure
they print them on diagnostically-useful paper, or as jpegs that he can
read. Nothing worse than getting the last x-rays printed on photocopy
paper.
